About The Role

As the Marketing and Communications Executive for GSF Car Parts, you will be responsible to support our marketing initiatives and communications activities from concept to delivery. Our busy team covers everything from internal communications and engagement surveys through to consumer advertising and national promotions.

Our communications team is responsible for finding and story-telling best-practice and achievement to excite and motivate our teams and customers alike. You will help support our product teams, drive operational compliance, and create an engaging employer brand. You will also assist in planning, copy-writing, communicating and delivering marketing campaigns as well as in supporting key projects and initiatives within the organization.


With our aim to be a flexible employer, this role offers hybrid working. 
 
Main Duties: 
  • Support active marketing promotions through updating branches, pulling reports, and coordinating distribution of rewards and collateral.
  • Assist in planning the marketing calendar, proactively sharing ideas to help drive sales within the network.
  • Work with the marketing team to analyse sales data and produce reports.
  • Coordinate and manage events such as technical evenings, exhibitions, training and customer conferences.
  • Help coordinate activities through the marketing team and with external agencies such as designers, printers, mailing houses, and research agencies.
  • Support regions, branches, and sales teams with marketing material and information.
  • Support the wider team on any ad hoc marketing projects.
  • Create and manage multi-channel communications to enable the organization to share information, drive operational compliance, and create an engaging employer brand.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify stories, activities, and achievements of the business to share both internally and externally.
  • News writing and editing to a journalistic standard for a range of topics including business news, best practices, human interest, operational cascades, and ghost-writing for senior leaders.
  • End-to-end creation of digital content including video, audio and photography.
  • Content creation and management for digital channels including social media.
  • Develop a pipeline of proactive and reactive PR activity, staying abreast of key industry news and developments to identify opportunities for the company to join the conversation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to use internal communication and measurement to drive operational compliance, efficiency, and excellence.
  • Ensure all communications, marketing, and engagement campaigns adhere to the company’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, mission, and values. Provide key project and campaign support for initiatives including the launch of a new intranet, regular staff surveys, and internal events.
  • Devise creative ways to convey messages, increase engagement, and build a sense of national community.
  • Support the communications team in becoming a trusted and valued bridge between the branch network and the company’s support functions.

The successful candidate will be a skilled marketing strategist who is able to drive creativity, motivation and enthusiasm in others.
 
What you'll need to succeed:
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Team player with a positive can-do attitude
    • Analytical, administrative, and great attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Self-motivated and able to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
    • Confident in building and maintaining relationships at every level of a company
    • Driving licence and ability to travel to sites across the UK

    Desirable:

    • Relevant professional qualification
    • Experience in communications, PR, journalism, or marketing, either in-house or agency
    • Familiarity with web CMS
    • Capability to create and edit video and / or audio content
    • Knowledge of social media channels
    • Adobe Creative Cloud Suite skills
    • Knowledge of communications and marketing best practices
